Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) is the statutory regulatory authority for medical and dental education and practitioners in Pakistan. PMDC was established under Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Ordinance 1962 as a body corporate. It is part of International Community of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA). Its head office is located in Islamabad, Pakistan.

China

Following universities[1] have been recognized by PMDC on July 22, 2009 under the effect of a meeting of the special task force on China which was chaired by President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari. Masood Khan, ambassador to China by Pakistan was a key personality in this meetings.[2] These universities are being given recognition for two years after which they will be reinspected for extension.[2][3]
